Our Services
HSR Zero Waste provides consulting and commercial services for facilities to create policies for reducing waste and re-use, meet their zero waste and resource management needs, and earn Zero Waste Canada or other certifications. With 30 years of experience in the waste management industry, we provide guidance on optimizing and enhancing existing recycling systems to ensure maximum waste diversion from landfills and incinerators.
We also deliver training courses through our partnership with the Zero Waste International Alliance and Zero Waste Canada, the non-profit pioneer in zero waste online educational programming. We can deliver customized zero waste training and education that aligns with your organization’s values and mission, and international policies and principles. For example, we provide ongoing education about recycling, organics, and specialty waste management programs to tenants and staff of facilities (office towers, malls, and manufacturing centres, etc.).
In addition to Zero Waste Canada certification, we can help your organization earn LEED, BOMA, TRUE, and Green Marine certifications.

About HSR Zero Waste
Since offering paper and cardboard recycling in 1988, Happy Stan's Recycling (HSR), founded by Stan Kaminski (“Happy Stan”), has expanded its services to accept over 40 different materials and a range of resource management solutions that encourage the highest and best use of materials.
With resource conservation and environmental protection at the core of HSR's values, we needed a more focused set of services to drive change toward waste reduction rather than simply waste management. In 2017, HSR established a zero waste division now known as
